Talybont Community Official Poll Result

A survey of the community of Talybont on Usk was conducted to determine local support / objection to the following single issue survey question:

 “Do you support the staging of large scale (500 people or more) festivals /events at Gilestone Farm?"

The Official Result of this survey is as follows:......

217 residents responded. 198 voted No (91.2%). 12 voted Yes (5.5%). 7 did not vote but returned forms (3.2%). 

Residents effectively had a week to respond due to postal strikes. The results represent a turnout of 38.3%. 

In the local elections this year, turnout across Wales was between 31.3% and 48.6%. 

Please Note,  The poll result has been verified by Craig Burdon who is acting head of Talybont Community Council . He kindly reviewed the process and responses and has confirmed that the result is an accurate representation of the returns .The UVCG thanks Craig for doing this , which he undertook as a village resident not within his councillor role , the poll was organised  solely by  the UVCG , Craig Burdons  verification does not imply any endorsement by the Community Council .
